If you see any white, powdery build-up on the terminals, clean them with a 50/50 mix of water and baking soda (or other soda, see next section) using a toothbrush. The same mixture works well to keep your teeth sparkly clean too! However, I would suggest a different toothbrush for that.

Charging your battery is also easy and can be done with a set of jumper cables and another car. However, if the battery terminals are dirty, it won’t take a charge.
